Deadline: 8th December (Monday) or earlier (We like high-agency)

Deliverable: A single document or slide deck (Google Doc, Notion page, or PDF) emailed to [email protected]

Introduction

Thanks again for speaking with us. We were really impressed by the work you’ve done in the past. We like to move fast, so this is the final stage of our process.

This assignment is intentionally short and structured - the goal is to understand how creatively and out of the box you think, not how much time you can spend.

We’re building a powerful micro-influencer and creator community engine that can generate consistent awareness, bring in high-intent users, and eventually fuel a self-sustaining word-of-mouth snowball effect. These people aren’t extremely popular, but are highly trusted by the audience in their niche.

This assignment is about designing a realistic v0 of that engine.

Brief on Brushless and Vision

Brushless is an agentic design platform for non-designers to create fully consistent and brand-aware visual assets at scale, and we are starting with illustration sets (informational illustrations, character illustrations, logos, icon sets, illustrations for landing pages/marketing, etc.)

Our core users today are marketing teams, L&D professionals (creating training materials and internal comms), Founders and Operators (pitch decks, product visuals, landing pages). But we don’t want to limit your thinking to this ICP; feel free to completely discard this as a potential user base and start from scratch.

Our vision is to become the default design tool for everyone who isn't a designer - making professional, on-brand visuals as easy as describing what you want. We believe the future of design is agentic, not template-driven. We do the heavy lifting of identifying the best illustration styles/building custom styles for business, identifying the right models, and doing context and prompt engineering under the hood to deliver professional-quality illustrations without our users having to know any technical knowledge.

Primary market: United States Secondary markets: Europe and South America (high-propensity-to-pay users)

Assignment Deets

1. Identify Relevant Micro-Influencers

Brushless benefits most from creators/micro-influencers who actively make visual content while running communities, or teach skills; basically, people who would use the product, not just promote it. These are not just generic influencers; these are potential users of brushless who are also into content creation for specific niches.
